Throw Pillow - Japanese Silk Furoshiki: Lady in Lavender Kimono

Our Japanese Throw Pillows have been skillfully crafted from authentic Japanese Furoshiki (fu-ro-shi-ki), a type of traditional wrapping cloth used to transport cloths, gifts, or other goods. The beautiful chirimen (crinkle textured rayon crepe) fabrics of the furoshiki we used are printed with Ukiyo-e "the Pictures of the Floating World" woodblock designs. Ukioy-e are among the most widely known and admired art of the Edo period (17th to 19th century Japan).

The Japanese throw pillows measure approximately 24" x 24" square. The vibrant colors and classic designs make a dramatic decor statement. Quantities very limited. The throw pillow covers zip off for easy dry cleaning.
